New Kitchen lights

We got some new lights for the kitchen when we went shopping Sunday and Leo put them up today. I was a helper.... I didn't do much but when he yelled or something I was right there to cheer him on and on and on and on. the one over the table went in better than the other one and we thought it would be the other way around. I love the new look. we have been here 32 years and the lights were the original so we upgraded a bit...You know what is so funny though.. these 3 have a total of 300 watts the same as our other one had but the only difference is these are 3 -100 's and the other was 5- 60's and this one seems so much brighter. Isn't that strange? we have a dimmer switch so we won't have it full on unless we are reading or doing something where we need the light. Now I want new lights in the halls too..... do you think I should wait or get them now while he is in the mood.
Im going to close now because it just said may not be able to save this draft

  1. If he said any bad words while hanging them, wait to hit him for the other lights. If he didn't, maybe now is the time. It would probably work on me, but.......One never knows, does one?
I do like the fixtures but especially the semi-closed ceiling fixture. I love the outside metal decoration over the globe. Gives it some class. Definitely an up grade! (I usually try to keep Sherry in the $15 range though, LOL).

  2. Love your lights Sandra they look realy lovely. As for the brightness I feel it's all to do with the differant types of glass the shades are made from. It's suprizing how much differant light you can get from differant glass.I should get whatever you need whilst he is in the good mood Heeeeeee. When he has finished tell him thankyou and say OH! you are "The Light Of MY Life " heeeee.Have a lovely week .Take Care God Bless

  6. You might want to wait a few days before asking him to install more lights. The ones you just got look great though.

  8. I love that picture, it's the greatest. The lights are very nice. You should get the hall lights now before this dreary time comes to an end.

  10. Love the lights! I would get them now while he's in the mood. Paul isn't electrical anything, so we had to have someone put in all our lights in the house. It made sense for us to get them all at the same time, since we had to pay someone already to install them. (Hugs)Indigo
