The Tree is still up

The tree is still up but everything in the house is now put away and the tree is out of the way and Leo is busy so when ever he is ready to put it away is fine with me.....
Our weather still stinks but I had better get used to it because it will only get worse. We still have some ice on the patio even if I did put some salt down...... I guess salt doesn't work if the weather is too cold and believe me its too cold and getting colder. After this next cold spell the weather man said we can then say the worst of it is behind us...... Do I trust the weatherman?????
Im starting my new eating plan ~ wish me luck. I saw Dr Weil on PBS the other day and he seems to make sense and then when I was looking for his books and tapes I came accross The Self Hypnosis Diet and the forward was written by Dr Weil... I have to read the first 3 chapters before I can put the tape in and Hypnotize myself...... The way I look at it it can't hurt to try because heaven knows I have tried everything else...... I also got some yummy chicken breasts that are just the right size,,,,, seasoned with Lemon and herbs, had one last night and it was very delicious and only 210 calories. with a salad and veggies and a cup of tea it was just what the doctor ordered.... :) Now if I could only exercise ......... I will try bit by bit. I wonder if rocking in my rocking chair while reading counts..... haha

TAKING THE TREE DOWN

Is it just me or does it seem to you too that we just put the tree up. I started putting the decorations away and now have to find a spot for the new things we got.... What a chore huh, LOL

Our weather here is just plain nasty = we didn't go to Church Sunday because the driveway was all ice.... ya, it rained and then turned to ice Sat night and is still icy today. We didn't have any salt for the driveway stored in the garage, but it would probably have been the same in the Church parking lot so we chose to stay put. Heard on the news there were a lot of people falling in parking lots and breaking wrists because they tried to break the fall..... better to be safe than sorry I say. I sure hope its the last Sunday something like that happens because I like to go to Mass every Sunday.
I want to get to the store so I can make a nice big pot of soup.... its so good at this time of year and besides its good for the diet...... better than buying soup with all that salt added. So in the meantime I suppose I will be knawing on that Christmas ham and eating cereal and peanut butter sandwiches..... blah.
As you can see with the picture above Im already thinking of summer... not the work but the warm weather and beautiful flowers......but in the meantime I will be looking at the seed catalogs that are already coming in the mail and dreaming.
