A Beautiful Fall Day

I wish I could get this little chapel larger. Its a little chapel in the woods my Grandfather and his brother-in-law built in 1925. I haven't been there but have seen pictures and maybe someday I will go.
Its a beautiful fall day today. I really should get outside and do something. It's cold but sunny so that makes it beautiful.... Leo is outside doing yard work but I just took a shower and don't want to take another one so here I sit at the computer.... He is focused though and I should leave him alone.. just hope Monday or Tuesday is another beautiful day so I can get something done. We have the front yard just about done and when it is I will take pictures. Then its the back... I have a little start back there so It shouldn't be too hard... It always looks so nice in the fall when we have all the plants cut back . Hate to take in the patio furniture though so that will probably wait until November.... We always have the front porch to sit on and its usually warmer there too because its on the sunny side of the house.
One of our tv stations is no longer on our cable(fighting about a contract) So we went and picked up an antenna and it works just fine.... not like the old days when it would be fuzzy....... but it sure reminds me of the old days and when I look at it it brings a smile to my face....
I had better get moving..... feel too guilty not doing anything.... did clean up the house a bit but can't just sit here.

rainy and cold today

I slept too long last night.... was it the cold weather and the furnace being on for the first time I wonder? I did get up in time to go to the doctor and get some lab work done and after we went to Steins to see what fall decorations they had. We just got some decoration corn cobs to put on the house..... the chipmonks will eventually eat them but it looks nice now and they must eat too . I also got a few little bulbs because it just isn't fall unless you plant a few. At least that is what I think. I got 25 little Anemone bulbs. They are so pretty and always different than the others bulbs I have planted. I guess they don't last as long and only come up a couple of years so that makes it possible to have something to plant again. haha
After Steins we went to Krolls to have a Hamburger and Leo had a bowl of Chili. It was noon and we were near so a perfect excuse to have my favorite hamburger.
Its so nice that so many are coming here from aol, we will all be able to meet and tell each other what we are up too again..... Glad someone found this place aren't you?
Im looking forward to watching the vice presidential debates tonight. With Sarah Palin it really should be interesting.
So that is it for today...... hope you all had a good one too

Learning something new

I guess I had better start a blog here too like everyone else just in case Aol is closing their blogs. I'm trying to add a picture but so far no luck..... but I will keep trying
